Cancer Care
A cancer diagnosis and treatment alike can complicate existing mental health conditions, bring their own concerns, and result in physical and cognitive changes that can be improved with psychiatric medication management alongside your therapist's care. Dr. Patterson's experience provides him the expertise your treatment requires.
Medical Complexity
Through years of work in psychiatric symptom management for patients coping with challenging medical conditions, Dr.Patterson has developed expertise in evaluating medication and medical illness interactions with mental health conditions.
HIV
Having served as an out patient provider in a multidisciplinary HIV clinic, Dr.Patterson has developed knowledge and practiced skills essential to the sensitive and competent management of psychiatric symptoms for people with HIV, who may also be on complicated medical regimens.
Please Note
Dr. Patterson does not perform one-time evaluations for disability. Dr. Patterson does not prescribe high dose stimulants or benzodiazepines, though, on patient request and with permission on file, he will consult with a patient's primary care provider on such prescriptions. Patients with borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, and active substance use should seek other providers.
